Central Valley customers: samples can be dropped off at the Southern Counties DHIA lab in Shafter. A drop box is located on the sidewalk for deliveries outside of regular business hours.
Southern California customers: samples can be dropped off at the Southern Counties DHIA office in Chino. A drop slot is located on the East wall of the building for deliveries outside of regular business hours. Monday through Thursday, samples dropped off at the Chino location will be transported to the lab in Shafter the following morning. Samples left on Friday will be delivered Monday morning.
NIR1 Hay samples received at the Shafter lab by 9:00am will be processed the same day as received.
Results for NIR1 wet samples will be available by the end of business the following day. Wet samples require extended drying time.
All analysis results are reviewed by CVAS then released to the customer via email or fax.
In Kern County, anyone working with Dr. Russ Dickson can have their feed samples picked up by his staff at the same time they collect the milk samples. They will be delivered to the SCDHIA lab in Shafter.
